Il a souvent cherché hors de France à confronter sa recherche à des pratiques différentes et à l'évolution historique de la mondialisation. Le projet Antacom, un cycle de peinture défini comme un « théâtre de conscience » initié en 2008, questionne la définition et la place du sujet face au chaos contemporain, dans une société de l’information totale.
Philippe Hurteau is a painter who also produces digital images, painting installations, and texts. Since 1995, he has been interested in contemporary subjects confronted with screens, and the digital mutation of society. He often looked out of France to confront his research to different practices and historical évolution of globalization. The Antacom project, a painting cycle defined as a "theater of consciousness" started in 2008, questions the definition and place of the subject facing contemporary chaos in a society of the total information.
